Biographical Information of the Company's Shari’ah Committee

Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Mutlaq – SC Chairman

Sheikh Dr. Abdullah is a consultant of the Royal Diwan and is a member of the Senior Sharia Scholars Council and a member of the Permanent Committee for Research and Pronouncements (Iftaa).

Sheikh Dr. Abdullah holds a PhD from Imam Mohammed Bin Saud University, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1404H. Sheikh Abdullah is a Professor of Shariah and was formerly Chairman of the University's Comparative Fiqh Department.

Sheikh Dr. Abdullah is a Shariah Committees member of many Islamic financial institutions and also a member of numerous of Shariah Councils such as AAOFI Shariah Committee (Bahrain).

Sheikh Dr. Abdullah has supervised a number of PhD theses and has participated in the discussion of a number of MA and PhD dissertations. He has compiled a number of Shariah rulings (interpretive opinion) and is an author of a number of books and researches on Islamic economy.

  • Associate professor in Shariah department, Jazan University.
  • Member of several Shariah Committees of Islamic financial institutions, also a member of AAOIFI Shariah Standards Committee.
  • Member of KSA Law of Civil Procedures Team in judicial Legislation Committee, KSA.
  • Holds a PhD in comparative jurisprudence (Figh) from Al Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University.
  • An author of number of books and researches in Islamic economy.

Sheikh Dr. Essam Bin Khalaf Alenazi– SC Member

  • Professor at the Department of Comparative Fiqh,- Kuwait University.
  • Member of Shariah Committee, Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI).
  • Member of the Shariah Committee in many financial and Islamic institutions such as Boubyan Bank, Warba Bank, Ahli United Bank, Bank of London and the Middle East, and others.
  • Holds a PhD in comparative jurisprudence (Figh) from the Jordanian University.
  • An author of number of books and researches in Islamic economy.
